Ana Sagar Lake
Ana Sagar Lake is the biggest Lake in Ajmer, with the maximum catchments area with a depth of maximum of 4.4 meters and can store about 4.75 million cubics of water. Dargah Shariff
The Ajmer Dargah is a Sufi shrine which is believed to be one of the holiest places in Rajasthan. Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, who was a Persian Sufi saint, is enshrined in this place owing to his secular preaching’s. He is believed to be the descendant of Muhammad, and it is on his request that he came to India.
Victoria Jubilee Clock Tower
The Clock Tower now stands as a symbol for the city of Ajmer. One of the top Ajmer famous places, displays a fantastic use of Indo-Islamic architectural styles. Four balconies topped by a characteristic Islamic dome look out from the four sides of the Tower, offering a splendid panoramic view of the surrounding cityscape.
Adhai-Din Ka Jhonpra
The extraordinary ruins of the Adhai-din-ka-Jhonpra mosque and it is one of the famous places to visit in Ajmer. It was originally built as a Sanskrit college, but in 1198 Mohammed of Ghori seized Ajmer and converted the building into a mosque by adding a seven-arched wall covered with Islamic calligraphy in front of the pillared hall.
Nasiyan Jain Temple
An architecturally rich Jain temple is dedicated to the first Tirthankara - Rishabh dev . Next to the main temple is an old and beautiful haveli, turned into a museum. It is exhibiting the life of Rishabh dev (adinath ), from his birth, renunciation, enlightenment to salvation, in a marvelous model called city of gold or swarna nagari.
Ajmer Government Museum
The Museum is divided into separate sections, including sections on Arts Crafts, Industry, Archaeology and Armory. There is a separate Children’s gallery as well. The collection at the Government Museum includes historic sculptures of several Indian deities, daggers and swords, renowned Mughal paintings and much more.
